ARRIVING
By Air into Logan Airport
Subway. Time: 1 hour or less. Cost: Free (suitable for those who can manage their luggage on stairs). Outside baggage claim at Logan Airport board any Silver Line SL1 bus. At South Station transfer to the Red Line subway (the “T”), direction Alewife. Disembark at Downtown Crossing and transfer to the Orange Line, direction Forest Hills, alighting at Back Bay station. Upstairs, continue in the direction the train was travelling, cross Dartmouth Street and enter Copley Place shopping mall by the doors to the left of Neiman-Marcus. Take the escalator up and continue straight ahead through the mall. At Tiffany & Co. take the escalator down to the Marriott Copley Place lobby.
Taxi from Logan Airport: 30 minutes in normal traffic. Cost: ca. $40 including tip. At peak times there will be a waiting line controlled by a dispatcher.
By Train from Back Bay Station
Disembark at Back Bay station from Amtrak or MBTA commuter rail. Upstairs, orient yourself 180 degrees from the direction the train was travelling and exit the station. Cross Dartmouth St. and enter Copley Place by the doors to the left of Neiman-Marcus. Take the escalator up and continue straight ahead through the mall. At Tiffany & Co. take the escalator down to the Marriott Copley Place lobby.
By Bus from South Station
Subway. Time: 30 minutes or less. Cost: $2.50. Buses arrive at South Station. Follow signs from the bus terminal to the train station itself and the subway (the “T”). Purchase a single ride ticket as your convention registration packet will contain a weekly pass. Take the Red Line, direction Alewife. Disembark at Downtown Crossing and transfer to the Orange Line, direction Forest Hills, alighting at Back Bay station. Upstairs, continue in the direction the train was travelling, cross Dartmouth Street and enter Copley Place shopping mall by the doors to the left of Neiman-Marcus. Take the escalator up and continue straight ahead through the mall. At Tiffany & Co. take the escalator down to the Marriott Copley Place.
Taxi from South Station: Time: 20 minutes in normal traffic. Cost: ca. $25 including tip.
By Car
Driving is strongly discouraged. If you absolutely must, take exit 22 from the Mass. Pike eastbound. Bear right and follow the signs to the Prudential Center. Above ground, merge left immediately on Huntington Avenue and make a left U-turn at the next light. The Marriott will be on your right in the next block. Plan on $50 per day to park there. Legal on-street parking throughout the city will be frustratingly rare and short-term.
